Is there a free plan?
Yes — our Free plan supports up to 15 receipts/month, 50 mileage trips, and one bank statement upload. No credit card required.
Which Canadian provinces are supported?
All 13 provinces and territories. Bookkeeper handles GST, HST, PST, and QST automatically based on the transaction location.
How does the receipt OCR work?
You upload or photograph a receipt. Our AI pipeline (Llama 3 on DigitalOcean GPU) extracts the merchant, date, subtotal, tax, and total — and auto-categorizes the expense.
Is my data stored in Canada?
Yes. All data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted in the Canada region. We are currently working toward SOC 2 certification.
Can I invite my accountant?
On the Business plan you can invite up to 5 team members with role-based access. An accountant-specific read-only seat is on our roadmap.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from your billing settings. There are no cancellation fees and your data is available for export before deletion.
